MCCAINS COLOMBIAN TERRORIST PALS G. GORDON LIBBY & CHARLES H. LINDNER: Liddy has made four contributions totaling $5,000 to Senator John McCain's campaigns -- including $1,000 in 2007. G. Gordon Liddy an admirer of Aldolph Hilter in November 2007 had Senator John McCain, 2008 Presidential candidate, on Liddy's radio show. Liddy greeted him as "AN OLD FRIEND," and McCain replied. It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that KEEP our nation great. REASON LIBBY IS A CONVICTED FELON: In 1971, after serving in several positions in the Nixon administration, Liddy was moved to Nixon's 1972 campaign, the Committee to Re-elect the President (officially known as "CRP" but to opponents known as CREEP), in order to extend the scope and reach of the White House "Plumbers" unit, which had been created in response to various damaging leaks of information to the press. At CRP, Liddy concocted several plots, some far-fetched, intended to embarrass the Democratic opposition. These included firebombing the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. (where classified documents leaked by Daniel Ellsberg were being stored), kidnapping anti-war protest organizers and transporting them to Mexico during the Republican National Convention (which at the time was planned for San Diego), and luring mid-level Democratic campaign officials to a house boat in Baltimore where they would be secretly photographed in compromising positions with call girls. Most of Liddy's ideas were rejected, but a few were given the go ahead by Nixon Administration officials, including the break-in at Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office. Ellsberg had leaked the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times. At some point, Liddy was instructed to break into the Democratic National Committee offices in the Watergate Hotel CHARLES H LINDNER: Charles H. Lindner was implicated in the financing of terrorist organizations in Colombia. In fact, the financing began while he was the president of Chiquita Brands' board of directors. KEATON - S&L SCANDAL McCain and Keating had become personal friends following their initial contacts in 1981, and McCain was the only one of the five with close social and personal ties to Keating. Like DeConcini, McCain considered Keating a constituent as he lived in Arizona. Between 1982 and 1987, McCain had received $112,000 in political contributions from Keating and his associates.  So who has had hosting with either dreamhost or godaddy? Well I've been with both and
I have to say they're both really good. Not at all saying they're perfect but they are decent.
Dreamhost
I've been with them for ages, well over a year might not sound like a long time but for anyone
who's had websites since the 90's or early 2000, will know how hard it is to find a host and stay
there for this long without forking out fortunes of cash. Dreamhost offers a wide range of services
quite cheaply. The control they give you on a shared hosting plan is absolutely stunning...
I've been able to install all sorts of add ons from ffmpeg and its dependencies to custom scripts
that would normally require admin access. No they don't give root access but that means nothing
gets broken beyond repair doesn't it? Besides almost anything you need to install can be
managed from you're .htaccess file, and if you don't know how to do it their wiki and forum can
come in handy all in simple and plain English with step by step instructions. As you probably
guess you get ssh to use. Now on to their control panel... Yes it controls everything you would
ever need to control... From domain registration and transfers to database management.
Speaking of databases, they offer mysql by default not sure if you can install others but you
should be able to and access databases can work but there is ofcourse things you'l need to
do for that to happen. The interface is simple obvious and convenient. All in all they'll for anyone
from novice to professionals.
Godaddy
Not so much so for godaddy. Yes they are amazing in someways but their control panel is not
for the faint of heart. A stunning design with the latest of web 2.0 techniques, if it was a
competition for the most wowing features and design they'd definitely win but its not.
Their control panel takes you all over the place from domain to domain from account this to
account that. Don't get me wrong everything that you can get from dreamhost control panel
you could probably get from godaddy but its harder to get to where you want to go.
Its not categorized so finding stuff takes time and can frustrate a beginner.
Off the negatives now, as I said they get you almost everything if not all the things
you get from the dreamhost control panel. They are quite adordable and offer a wider
range of domain names that can be hosted. Off the top of my head dreamhost only
offers .com .info .net and .org domain names while go daddy offers all those and more
including .me .mobi .eu and more...
While seemingly appropriate, i must say I still don't know how SSH works on go daddy
I've tried just login in with ftp details as i do on dreamhost but nothing. I know there is a way
to use one account for ftp and ssh on godaddy but hw exactly still remains a mystery.
The entire godaddy account area seems custom built so its directly tailored to their customers
where as on Dreamhost they use opensource software such as webftp... effective but not
built specifcally for Dreamhost so it does get a bit annoying when you try to do something that
doesn't work on a dreamhost account.
What GoDaddy lacks in simplicity it makes up for in product range.
Conclusion...
All in all godaddy is just as good as Dreamhost in my opinion they both have their ups
and downs but over all i reckon they both get an 8/10....
